Flower

The rather nice looking flower is a peaceful, relaxing new title that let’s you float around collecting petals. The graphics are apparently beautiful when the game is in motion, and the six-axis controls are nicely implemented. It’s good to see different things like this coming out from time to time and it could prove a hit if reasonably priced. It might also be the perfect thing to show Mum if you’re hoping for a nice shiny PS3 for Christmas.

Siren: New Translation has been out here for a few weeks now. Famitsu have been running a blog specifically for the game, filled with creepy details. The latest post shows several photos of the female zombies in the game, and a picture of an actress in zombie make up. You can see why the graphics are so lifelike when they went to this kind of trouble.

Church vs Sony

June 11th, 2007 ThreeHeadedMonkey Posted in Sony No Comments »

The Church of England is up in arms about the depiction of Manchester Cathedral in Resistance: Fall of Man. The clergy are upset about the gunplay that takes place within the game’s version of the cathedral. There also seems to be a dispute over whether permission was granted to recreate the cathedral. Sony claim they sought all the necessary permissions for the creation of the game.

What the good Lord must make of it all is way beyond our sacriligeous minds, but the Cathedral has survived attacks by IRA terrorists and Nazi war planes in the past, so we’re sure it will survive a few hybrid Chimera invaders, particularly fictional ones.

Sony, on the other hand, is pretty desperate for some good publicity right now, and we’re not sure this is it. Resistance: Fall of Man is in stores now.
