Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Tekken fans looking to catch up with their favorite franchise have reason to celebrate, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has hit Japanese arcades. The gameplay remains true to the original, two teams of two fighters go head-to-head, the first to get knocked out loses the round. Combos and team attack mechanics will be familiar to anyone who has played the previous game, or any tag-team fighter. The graphics and sound are obviously a big step up from the 1999 classic, and the roster has been expanded greatly. There are now 44 characters to chose from, including some of the more elusive fighters from previous games, like Devil Jin and Ogre. The backgrounds now feature barriers to slam opponents into, and some stages have breakaway floors and walls. Keep an eye out for the home versions in November, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is a solid addition to the series.
