Nintendo continues to dominate Japanese hardware sales

No surprises in the June hardware sales figures. Over 270,000 Wiis were shifted, compared to 41,628 PS3s and 17,610 Xbox 360s. Reuters points out that’s a 6-1 advantage to the Wii, compared to the 4-1 advantage in April and a 5-1 advantage in May.

Nintendo’s charge saw them briefly overtake Sony’s share price to break into Japan’s richest ten companies.

Surely Sony will have to take action sooner or later – is a price cut on the way?
