Forever Blue – Trailer and Gameplay Video

Forever Blue/Endless Ocean comes out August 2nd in Japan. The diving game scored 35/40 in Famitsu and looks pretty exciting to us. Gametrailers have posted a gameplay video and trailer for the game.

The trailer shows off a few things you’ll be doing, swimming with dolphins and sharks, we also see whales pass dramatically overhead a few times during the video.

The gameplay video shows the diver swimming around a coral reef, catching fish (with the Wiimote we presume) and interacting with other marine life. We also see some interaction with another diver. We’re not sure exactly what the gameplay is going to involve here, but the Japanese menu options include “command 1” and “command 2”. Whether that means issuing commands to other wi-fi players, or to AI helpers remains to be seen.

We definitely want to check this game out, it’s been a long time since Ecco on the Megadrive, and nothing since has really captured that underwater feel quite like this might do.
